RE: MONTHLY LETTER FOR JANUARY 2021
Greetings in the name of God The Father, Jesus Christ The son and God The Holy Spirit. I pray this letter finds you prospering and in good health even as your souls prosper.
Let me begin by saying “Happy New Year” to each of you. My prayer for you today is that you will experience all that our good and gracious God has for you.
First, our annual time of Prayer and Fasting this year will take place next month February 2021. We will participate in 28 Days of Prayer and Fasting with a focus on building our faith in God. Our 28 Days of Prayer and Fasting booklet will be available Sunday, January 24, 2021 in hard copy, online at the church website and social media pages as well as in PDF, printable format.
Second, I am requesting that every teenager and parent in your household join me on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 6:00pm via The Word Church AZ Facebook page for a special conversation on college education. Our live conversation will focus first and foremost on aiding our young people on free, financial resources to include full ride scholarships to both local Community Colleges as well as Arizona State University. Information on specific programs of study a post-pandemic Black College Tour and potential in state Black College Fair in the fall/winter of this year will be provided. Students and parents I am asking that you log into our Zoom call and also take part in the conversation with some students joining me online and in view of those watching. Special guests include Kiana Sears, the first African American elected to the City of Mesa School Board and representative of ASU Faith Based Educational Outreach and our own Sis. Nichole Neal, Community College Professor and student advocate.
Third, be sure to join us each Sunday morning at 8:00am and 10:30am for live worship service and again at 9:30am to 10:15am for a special time in studying God’s Word and unique conversations with special guests, church family members and friends of the ministry.
Finally, I am asking those of you who are willing to serve to help with the planning of TWC/CMBC sanctified, safe, sanitized and socially distanced outdoor celebration on the grounds of TWC/CMBC, Palm Sunday weekend on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Imagine live music under the pergola, a Christian DJ on the far south lot, food trucks, games for children of all ages, spades, gin rummy, chess and other game contests complete with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, free food boxes for those in need and more. On Sunday, March 28, 2021 we will have our first in-person worship service. Following prayer, faith and the climate of our state and country as it relates to the current Covid-19 crisis we will determine whether or not our Palm Sunday morning celebration will be inside or outside.
Finally, I am asking that each of us remain diligent with our commitment to following the healthy guidelines with respect to combating the virus. Continue in prayer for yourself, your family and world. Ask God to use us for His glory and our good.
Stay in touch with your Brothers and Sisters in Christ, encouraging them in their walk with The Lord. To every member and friend of TWC/CMBC know that your financial giving is both appreciated and very much needed. Please continue to give as God directs you through this ministry.
For the past nine months we have endeavored to offer a variety of live and virtual resources to include: Sunday morning worship, Sunday School classes, small group classes, Monday musing’s from Pastor Fort, work out Wednesday, food Friday, Saturday children’s bible class, preaching instruction for our associate ministers along with a host of live, zoom presentations hosted by SJF Ministries and Pastor Fort to include a monthly presentation with Pastor Fort, Dr. Fredrick L. Fairley Sr. Phoenix, AZ, Dr. MarQuerita Story, from New York and Philadelphia, Pastor Jonathan and Co Pastor Lori Green, Central California, Pastor Welton Pleasant II, Long Beach, CA., Rev. Milton Pleasant, Phoenix, AZ. and Dr. Kenneth Campbell, Houston, TX. Pastor Fort has also hosted a number of online presentations with leaders and members of our church, our female associate ministers and more.

Beautiful message! Thanks for sharing this message really would like to thank the leaders specially during the time of the pandemic! They sacrificed so much for the people they serve!
